Radiology Imaging Center
Imaging of the Chest: A Teaching File by Patricia J. Mergo, Written by faculty members and residents, this volume of the popular LWW Teaching File Series is an excellent aid for radiology residents preparing for oral board exams. It presents 150 well-illustrated cases, drawn from teaching files in major medical centers, that cover all common chest diseases and current imaging modalities. Cases are presented as unknowns in a consistent format--images and a brief clinical history are followed by relevant findings, differential diagnosis, final diagnosis, and a discussion. This format enables readers to hone their diagnostic reasoning skills and answer exam questions with confidence. Cases are grouped according to pattern of radiographic appearance.
Center for Creative Imaging - The Center for Creative Imaging (CCI) was a short-lived Camelot located in the renovated Knox Mill complex in Camden, Maine from about 1991 to 1994. The Center was an Eastman Kodak Company facility designed to teach digital imaging and related subject matter to artists, design professionals, photographers, and production staff. Radiology - Radiology traditionally was the branch of medical science dealing with the medical use of X-rays emitted by X-ray machines or other such radiation devices for the purpose of obtaining visual information as part of medical imaging. Radiologists now also use other imaging technologies (such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging) to diagnose or treat disease. Pediatric radiology - Pediatric radiology is a subspecialty of radiology involving the imaging of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Many pediatric radiologists practice at children's hospitals. Interventional radiology - Interventional Radiology (IR) is a subspecialty of Medical imaging (Radiology) in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance. Some of these procedures are done for purely diagnostic purposes (e.

Genomics is already having a large influence on medical practice, as most monogenic genetic disorders have now been linked to causative genes, and molecular biological techniques are influencing medical decision-making. Medicine See drugs, medication, and pharmacology for substances that treat patients. The new, "scientific" medicine replaced more traditional views based on the images of conditions and parts of the body that can mimic musculoskeletal complaints.
